| The peaked roofline, the tin sheeting roof and wrought iron railings all work beautifully together |
It's a big house on a (relatively) large block of land - almost a third of an acre (1300m2). The real estate listing for this house says that it includes: 5 bed rooms - 5 bathrooms - 4 car - fire place - pool terrace - deep north sunny verandahs - formal lounge and dining - family room - meals room rumpus room - 2 offices - 2 laundry - gourmet gas kitchen with dual dish draws & walk in pantry plus second kitchenette - full air conditioned home - established gardens - rain water tanks - electric gates - fully fenced.
It was the verandahs and the Queenslanderish style of the home that grabbed my attention - I love this style of home, far more than the large, modern homes that usually occupy this price range (not that these homes aren't also amazing, I just love Queenslander style houses).
One of the features that I love the most is the roof deck (did you spot the stairs leading up to the roof deck in the photos above and below?)
Views to Brisbane's CBD from the rooftop deck are sensational.
I love the outdoor 'kitchen' on the verandah, with what looks like a servery window through to the kitchen for easy entertaining.
The internal photographs should have been taken during the daytime, rather than the early evening. I would like to see these photographs taken in natural light because these photographs are too yellow for my liking.
The kitchen is a very homestyle kitchen - something I usually like. I don't like the window dressings though, they scream old fashioned to me. I love the polished wooden floors and even the pots and pans hanging from the ceiling.
